"Caring Santa" returns to Potomac Mills

EXCLUSIVE “CARING SANTA” EVENT TO BE HELD FOR FAMILIES AFFECTED BY AUTISM AT POTOMAC MILLS ON DECEMBER 9
WHAT: The hustle and bustle of the holiday season can be overwhelming for the estimated six out of every 1,000 children diagnosed with autism. To help those children enjoy an important part of the holiday experience, Potomac Mills, along with WorldWide Photography, will host an exclusive sensory-friendly Santa meet and greet experience for families of those affected by autism or a sensory processing disorder. This unique “Caring Santa” event will allow children to enjoy one of the holiday’s joyous memories – taking a photo on Santa’s lap.
For the event, the lights around the Santa set will be dim and staff will be instructed to avoid loud, distracting movements. In addition, families will not have to wait in line, but will sign in and be called when it is their turn. Children will be provided with complimentary coloring sheets while they wait.
WHEN: Sunday, December 9
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Potomac Mills (Fashion Court – Neighborhood 1)
2700 Potomac Mills Circle
Woodbridge, VA 22192

COST: Visits with Santa are free; photo packages will be available for purchase
