Welcome Daytime Playtime!

We are so excited to welcome our newest sponsor, Daytime Playtime! From their website:

"Daytime Playtime is a place where children have fun with others, develop a joy for learning to become comfortable and secure in an academic environment. Children develop differently depending on their ages and experiences. No two kids are alike and should not be compared to each other. They are all learning in different ways and at different rates."

Daytime Playtime offers a mommy and me class, mommy's morning out, and preschool-junior kindergarten programming during the year. There is a Spanish Immersion program offered on Fridays, as well. For homeschool students- Spanish, cooking, math and science, and art are offered on a monthly basis, and similar enrichment classes are offered for after-school programs. There's also parties, monthly storytime and lots of fun!

As we're approaching summer, though, the most time-sensitive offering at Daytime Playtime is their summer camps. They have two sets of camp, one for ages 3-5 and one for ages 6 and up.  Themes for the younger set include "Little Chefs", "Marvelous Messy Art", "Camping Trip" and more. For ages 6 and up, camp themes include "Cooking with Math and Science", "Creating a Story" and "7 Wonders of the Ancient World".  You can sign your child up for 5 days (full or half), 3 days, or even do drop-in one day camp.  Outdoor fun and water play are part of every day, and the camps are focused on helping children to wonder and explore.

Sponsored Post: Help Wanted @Natural Mom Home Day Care

Natural Mom Home Day Care is seeking an energetic, responsible and patient person to provide care for 3-4 children (ages 18 months and 3 years) on occasional sick days and vacation in our State Licensed Home Day Care. You’re welcome to bring your children with you (depending on the ages). Meals for you (and your children) will be provided, you’ll have to cook easy meals (often just heating as they are prepared ahead of time) and feel comfortable changing diapers.
Toys, books, projects and a basic schedule are here to assist you, and with few exceptions the days are fun and stress free. You would need to have transportation here and back, but you would not need to transport the children. Our hours are from 7am-6pm, and all children nap together for about two hours. Background checks are needed as well as CPR and first aid certification. If you aren’t already certified, I can help you get certified.
This would be a great job for a stay at home mom who is happy staying at home, but would like the opportunity to make extra money occasionally while still staying with her child.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, I’d love to meet you!
You can contact me with a description of your experience and information about yourself at naturalmomdaycare@gmail.com,  a resume isn't needed but your philosophy on child care and a lot of information about yourself would be great!

1. Before/After School Care:
Animated Child is the alternative to typical Before and After School Care.  Our program allows children to explore and learn while they spend  time in our Open Exploration area. Many parents have compared it to a children's museum! We ditch the traditional teaching model and learn science, technology, engineering and math in a completely hands-on environment.  Children can feed our animals in the Nature Smarts area and construct buildings in our Spatial Smarts area. Homework help is always at the ready and our S.T.E.M. room houses multiple computers for online learning. Join our program and receive 2-FREE Weeks of tuition!
Call 703-763-0003 for enrollment information.

2. Classes in Language, Art, Social Skills, and STEM Topics
Animated Child is full service enrichment center offering classes in Spanish, French, Art, 2-D Gaming Design and P.E.E.R.S. social skills. Language classes are $200  for 1 class per week. $340 for 2 classes per week. Classes are in 8 week sessions. Enrollment is ongoing. Register any time!  Membership guarantees enrollment and great discounts.

Our innovative center is inspired by the multiple intelligences of Gardner’s theory, and we engage children in every element in order to highlight their unique way of learning. The vital element of emotional and social intelligence with a global perspective makes the Animated Child a leader in children’s education. Giveaway: Natural Mom Home Day Care

Based on her own desires for natural childcare that allowed for attention, cloth diapering, natural foods including organic cooking, and affordable rates, local mom Rosemarie is opening Natural Mom Home Day Care beginning September 2nd, in the Rippon Landing Area of Woodbridge.  Here's what she has to say:

Natural Mom Home Day Care LLC opens its doors September 2nd to offer the Woodbridge/Dale City area (Rippon Landing) state licensed child care services for children 6 weeks to 6 years. “This is an opportunity for me to offer the services that mean the most to parents, like organic/natural foods, toddler yoga, baby sign language, family preferred scheduling and  complete preschool curriculum with rates that saves families over $2,000/year versus area day care centers.”, stated owner Rosemarie Groner.

After unsuccessfully searching for safe, affordable, high quality child care that offered the same natural care she provided for her new infant at home, owner Rosemarie Groner saw an opportunity to change the lives of area families. With a background in child care, she received state certification and created a child care program that offers local families an affordable, flexible, and safe alternative to area day care centers. Natural Mom Home Day Care LLC offers small group child care (3-4 children), organic/natural home cooked meals and home-made baby food at no extra cost, accepts cloth or disposable diapers, toddler yoga, baby sign language, photo sharing, preschool curriculum, and flexibility with after hours babysitting available by appointment.

“I have three assistants that can help me with sick days, vacation and appointments”, explains Groner “Which means parents can feel comfortable relying on me. I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of area families and I take that responsibility very seriously.  A great day care provider is an extension of the family and that’s exactly what I plan to be.”

To celebrate their grand opening, Natural Mom Home Day Care LLC is giving away a gift certificate for 5 hours of free after hours babysitting by appointment. To enter, head over to their facebook page and like them. One winner will be chosen at random.

Visit naturalmomdaycare.blogspot.com, call 703-402-0362, or email Rosemarie at naturalmomdaycare@gmail.com to get more information and to request a “Parents Information Packet” with rates, menu plans, policies and procedures, and program highlights.

In celebration of her new business, Rosemarie is offering something that every parent could use- 5 hours of after-hours babysitting (a $50 value).  Tell your husband to make reservations, and go out without the kids!! Enter using the Rafflecopter below.

Summer Camps and Vacation Bible School in Prince William County

Looking for VBS or camp in Prince William County? Here's what I've got.  They're done by DATE, so that you can decide what weeks you need coverage.  I was going to try to color code them by half day/full day/VBS, but that got complicated and hurt my head, so I gave up, although I did turn the VBS listings blue in case that's all you're here for..  If you would like to submit your camp dates (just like these, please, I'm not taking them incomplete or not done in this format) I'll be happy to add them.

Prince William County Parks and Recreation doesn't think I'm cool enough to submit their events, ever, and since I'm tied up with this whole radiation bit this year, I didn't take the time to separate out their camp listings by week.  You can find their guide online, however, here at Prince William County Parks Summer Camps 2013.

City of Manassas Park Parks and Recreation Summer Camps 2013 are online here.  They don't think I'm cool, either.  It's okay, I'm not bitter about it ;)
