The Week In PreView: March 26th-April 1st

Here are some notes from the calendar that we don't want you to miss! A good mix of kid-friendly and parent-important events/reminders for Prince William County! Enjoy and have a great week!!

Monday, March 26
Today is the final day to register for Kids N Motion's egg hunt/lunch with the bunny.  This event is $18 for the first child and $12 per additional sibling, and includes open play, pizza, juice box, cupcake, time with the Bunny, and an egg hunt.

All week this week, Potomac Mills Mall will have the Dreamland Amusements Carnival taking place.  Prices vary by the number of tickets you purchase, and it's open weeknights beginning at 5pm.  Weekend hours are listed on the calendar.

Tuesday, March 27
From 6-7pm, the Manassas Park Community Center is having a teen etiquette class.  These are so great to have under your child's belt for future interviews, business lunches, and more.  (Or, so that they don't shovel their food when Grammy comes for Easter!)

Today, two of our contests are closing! One for two premium subscriptions to OurLifeMemories.com and another for a week of Spring Break Skate Camp at the Haymarket IcePlex.  Be sure to enter both by 6pm!

Wednesday, March 28
Classy Kids Consignment Woodbridge is open to the public starting today! Shop early for the best selection!

From 5pm-8pm, Chick Fil A Sudley Manor Drive will be having Pirate and Princess night.  Children who come in costume as a princess or a pirate will receive a FREE 4-count nugget Kid's Meal. Princesses can climb the castle and Pirates can walk the plank for a surprise! Free temporary tattoos and opportunities for photos with our Princess and Pirate Cows as well as a REAL Princess and Pirate!

Thursday, March 29
Bristow Commons will have a Grand Opening celebration for Walgreens at 11 am. The afternoon will feature door buster deals, family fun and local officials.

From 4-5pm, Central Library in Manassas will have their Shenanigans program, but you must register in advance. This program is for children in grades K-5 and features activities and crafts.

Friday, March 30
Head over to Lake Ridge for their annual Fish Out.  The $7 cost includes 2 fish per person, and local groups can register to clean fish for profit.  Poles are available to rent and the fish will, allegedly, eat anything from marshmallows to cheese.  This event runs through April 7th.

In the evening, head over to Manassas Park (99 Adams Street) with your 8-11 year old for a flashlight-egg-hunt! It's $5 per child, and starts at 7pm (or soon thereafter when the sun goes down).

Saturday, March 31
Sign up ahead of time so your child can attend "Party With Your Peeps" at the Gainesville Wegmans at 11am.  Sounds like a great time!

From 1-3pm, Michael's will have a The Knack craft.

Don't forget our HUGE list of Egg Hunts in Prince William County- they start in full force this weekend both Saturday and Sunday!

Sunday, April 1
From 12-4 there will be a "Celebration of the Military Child" outdoor event.  You must be military to attend this event.  For more information, contact Sally.McGuire@sierraclub.org | 202-548-6590

Sunday also marks the beginning of the Dale City Farmer's Market's Summer Hours!  If you've enjoyed the winter market, the fruits and veggies should be re-appearing, too!
