Monday:
-There's an open Snow and Story hour at Prince William Ice Center this week on Monday. Designed for the preschool and under crowd, children can lament the lack of outdoor snow by playing inside at the rink, no skates required, and then getting warm with a story and cocoa. See our guest review. Be sure to register by calling 703-730-8423.
-Looking for an evening option? Michael's will be hosting a Girl Scout Crafts demonstration from 6-7pm at all local stores. This could be a great way to get some new ideas if you're a leader or active parent!
Tuesday:
-We've heard good things about the Novak's open gym times, although we haven't been yet. Your first time is free, and this week it's Tuesday from 10:45 to 11:30 (other times also available). Have you been? Leave a comment letting us know how it was!
-Evening option? Family bounce at Pump it Up Manassas from 5:30-7:30pm. I know that we have a lot of working moms, so evening can sometimes be best. Get your kids to do their homework at SAC and promise them a treat!
Wednesday:
-It's the Movers and Shakers Club at Manassas Mall with Pirate Rob and Princess Amy! Meet from 10:00am-11:00am in the JC Penney Court.
Thursday:
-Get your Easter on early at Potomac Mills Kidgits- their EGGstravaganza will be this week from 10:00am-11:00am. Not a member? You can sign up at the link included here for $5 a year.
-From 4:30pm-5:00pm, you can do a St. Patrick's Day craft at Potomac Library. Be sure to show up at 4:00 to claim a craft stick. Ages 4 and up, siblings welcome, limit 24.
-5:00pm-8:00pm is Family Night at Chick Fil A Signal Hill. We love our friends at Chick Fil A and they always do a great job taking the burden of dinner away, plus a little something extra fun for the kids!
Friday:
-If you live in Triangle or Quantico, North Stafford may be more convenient for you than some of the actual PWC events that I list. If that's the case (or if you like driving to Stafford), there's a Preschool St. Patrick's Day party on Friday, and you can pre-register for their Easter events, including Breakfast with the Bunny and Craft Days. Fees vary depending on whether or not you live in Stafford, but all the events sound fun! Check out Friday's calendar for some of the options, or click the link in this post to view the Stafford Parks and Rec website.
-From 7:00pm-8:00pm, the Manassas Park Community Center will have Lego Challenge Nights. For $2, drop in and enjoy building using the provided materials.
Saturday:
-It's St. Patrick's Day! At 11am, be ready for the Greater Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade! There are also several events within a reasonable drive, but our feature is definitely the in-county choice!
-Potomac Mills Mall will be hosting at 1:00pm-3:00pm tribute to Dr. Seuss if you're adverse to green beer, or just really like to rhyme!
-You'll need to PRE-REGISTER for the Wegman's Gainesville 2:00pm-3:00pm Kids in the Kitchen Event, but it'll be on making veggies delicious, so don't miss it!! (Did you attend this event at the Woodbridge Wegmans? We'd love to hear how it was!)
-Also from 2:00pm-3:00pm, 2nd and Charles, the new used bookstore where Borders used to be in Woodbridge, will host a kid's story hour with a variety of different fun activities each week.
Sunday:
-There are 2 Webelos events to pre-register for, Aquanaut and Hiking Belt Loop and Pin.
-Have you checked out the Dale City Winter Farmer's Market? We hear there are some tasty treats to be had! 10:00am-1:00pm in the commuter lot near Center Plaza Giant.
Where are you headed this week? Leave us a comment or share something that's missing from our calendar!! Comments are even better than Shamrocks!!
