Description:

GPS: Tracking Trees
Join the hunt and discover the amazing variety of trees that make up "the woods" at Leesylvania. Use GPS technology to uncover caches hidden along Powell's Creek Trail (approximately 1.3 miles) and learn the signs that will lead you to find and identify the different species of trees that make up the back bone of our cosystem. Don't forget to bring water and wear close-toed shoes.
Program cost is $3 per person, $8 per family, or $25 for a large group.

Join our kids fishing tournament and see what you can catch. There is some fishing equipment that participants can borrow, but we encourage folks to bring their own. There are several volunteers on hand to give participants help. Sponsored by the Friends of Leesylvania State Park .

Lee's Woods Historic Hike

Take a walk through the woods with a ranger and get to know the unique history of the land now known as Leesylvania State Park . You will see historic sites from the 1700's and the 1800's along this 2 mile trail.
