Happy July, Mommas! I hope that you've enjoyed the first portion of your summer!!
Here's a few of my kid-friendly Prince William County picks for the week of July 2nd, 2012.
Monday, July 2nd
Take a few minutes to enter our two current contests right now!
Enter HERE to win a Combi Stroller courtesy of Baby Blossom
Enter HERE to win a $20 gift card to Sweet Frog Manassas
Both contests end tonight at 6pm.
Need a cool place to hang out? Potomac Library will be showing The Tigger Movie (rated G). Bring your own snack and enjoy. The movie starts at 11am, but is limited to the first 125 persons, so show up and check in early with summer quest to ensure a spot!
Tuesday, July 3rd
At 12, check out a "Bring Your Baby Matinee" at the Potomac Mills AMC. This month's movie is "Rock of Ages", which I thought was really fun, although completely corny! Bring your baby movies have more lighting, a breastfeeding-friendly atmosphere, and stroller parking. Pack up a girlfriend and the stroller and head out for an afternoon at the movies.
Wednesday, July 4th
Our family traditionally hits the Dale City 4th of July Parade followed by the game at the Potomac Nationals, which also includes fireworks after the game. There appear to still be tickets available, so if you're interested, we always have a great time!
If the baseball game or Dale City parade aren't your personal cup of tea, check out our Fourth of July Prince William County guide! We've got fireworks in Manassas, Woodbridge, Dumfries and more!
Thursday, July 5th
From 10:30 to 11:30am, head to Central Library and decorate the outside of the library with sidewalk chalk. If it rains, they'll have an indoor activity instead.
Friday, July 6th
It's Bubble Camp Friday each Friday at Gymboree Woodbridge. $35 includes snack and lunch for your potty-independent 3-5 year old child. My daughter tried this one week and had a great time playing, making crafts, singing, and eating pizza. Having a little time out from the house can be just what the doctor ordered if you're already longing for preschool to be back in session! Call 703-590-3320 to make reservations for your little one.
Saturday, July 7th
Keep cool indoors during the day, but towards evening, you can check out outdoor concerts either at the Harris Pavilion in Manassas, or the Workhouse in Lorton. Both concerts are free.
Sunday, July 8th
There's another fun JoAnn Fabrics summer camp class on Sunday, this time it's to make a sleep mat. Want to check out ages, prices and the full schedule? We've got the full list for the Woodbridge store right here! Sewing machines above your pay grade? There's a Bull Run Troubadours concert on Sunday at 3pm at the Harris Pavilion with free ice cream to follow. (The concert is free, too)
Find these events and many others (as well as details like exact locations) click on "Calendar" at the top of the page! Have a fantastic week!
